From the Principal...

May brings warmer weather, field trips, Field Day, Awards Assemblies, Talent Show and a continued focus on making each and every day count as a productive day of learning.  All students, PK through 5th   grade, are taking their final round of TPRI/Tejas Lee, IRI and LAS Links tests in order to measure their academic growth for the year.  It is important that your child is in school each day to participate in all the learning that occurs.

May is a very busy month at Perez Elementary.  We remind you to please take a look at the calendar for upcoming end of the year activities. We look forward to seeing you!

As we begin to think about summer, we realize it is critically important for all of our students to maintain the growth they have made in reading this year.  The only way to do that is to read, read, read!  Reading throughout the summer will help prevent any loss of reading skill. Please check our school web page for a list of grade level reading suggestions.  We encourage you to keep your child reading and learning throughout the summer.

Respectfully,
Myra T. Ramos
